Marketing Plan

Marketing plan- The aspect of my opening that is engaging to the audience besides the obvious gore and violence would have to be the main antagonist, Scout. This is because he is sort of portrayed a a slasher icon and if this capitalized on it can bring audience in wanting to learn more about him. This would playing with Pathos of the audiences specifically utilizing the persuasive technique of emotion with curiosity as the film doesn't reveal much too quick so it keep audience intrigues to continue watching the film to want to find out he truth behind everything. Target Audience Research #3- The Hills Have Eyes

Image
The Hills Have Eyes (2006) Target Audience- The target audience of the "The Hills Have Eyes" is very similar to the audience of my film as it dealt with the theme of cannibalism, expressing that it's not good. The film shows off extreme gore to convey the taboo of the subject, very similar to how gore was explicitly in my film. This would make the audience be reduce to people around the age of 18 as its would ultimately make the film restricted. Marketing- The marketing for this film was reported by the marketing team to have cost 2-3 times the budget of filming of the actual film. One of lesser known marketing strategies of the film is that a copy of this film was placed into the New York Museum of Modern Art. It was placed into their archive rather than the prestigious permanent fixtures. Still,  the marketing team ordered for articles to be written in a way bragging about the accomplishment making the film have the connotation that is a mast...

The Texas Massacre 2 (1984) Target Audience- The target audience for The Texas Massacre 2   is similar to the target audience found in my film opening. This is is because both film revolve around the same premise of serial butcher that attacks aggressively. there attacks are fully visible on screen therefore making the rating of the film restricting to an a slightly older demographic between the age of 17-30. Marketing- The marketing campaign of the this was doom from the beginning. This film had to rekindle the hype for the original film that premiered 12 years ago. So with this being kept in mind the marketing team choose not put more of their budget on marketing and didn't do anything out of the ordinary when marketing thi film. Posters- This movie is marketed very similar to any film with billboards, posters, and commercial spots. The billboards and Poster of the film were very unique marketing strategy that implemented that stands out. The popular teen fi...
